On the morning of August 31, the first batch of 18 new energy buses equipped with new "aviation hard technology"-carbon fiber composite lightweight buses officially landed in Jiaxing, marking Jiaxing as the first city in the country to use carbon fiber new energy bus models. The key-giving ceremony was held at the Dongchang Public Transport Hub Station in Jiaxing City.
Carbon fiber composite material is lighter than aluminum-magnesium alloy and stronger than steel. It is a strategic new material integrating structural materials and functional materials. It has been widely used in high-end fields such as aviation and aerospace. Its application in the field of automobile manufacturing has a milestone innovative significance. It has played a very good role in reducing the weight of the vehicle, improving the strength of the body, and reducing energy consumption. It has "more energy-saving, more economical, safer, more comfortable, and long-life Six advantages of "no corrosion".
It is understood that compared with the traditional metal body, the new energy bus using carbon fiber composite material has good chemical resistance, the strength of the vehicle is increased by 10%, the weight is reduced by 30%, the efficiency of the vehicle is increased by at least 50%, and the same number of seats is standing. The area is increased by more than 60%. The impact absorption energy of carbon fiber composites is 5 times that of steel and 3 times that of aluminum, and the braking distance becomes shorter after lighter weight, making the vehicle safer and the driving experience better.
In addition, for the first time, 18 new carbon fiber composite buses have applied two new technologies, namely lightweight body and wheel-side motor drive. The overall energy consumption is about 30% lower than that of ordinary pure electric buses of the same type, and the transmission shafts necessary for traditional vehicles have been eliminated. With the characteristics of flat, low floor and large aisle layout, passengers can board and board in one step and quickly pass without obstacles. Calculated on the basis of 500,000 kilometers of operation in 8 years, 18 new lightweight buses will save about 2.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, reduce carbon emissions by 332 tons of standard coal, and save 220,000 to 300,000 yuan in operating costs.
In the next step, the batch of lightweight carbon fiber composite buses will be put on the two newly planned bus express lines in the east-west and north-south directions of Jiaxing urban area, which will become an important window for Jiaxing to build a green, low-carbon and circular city.
